Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the marinara sauce to the pot with the ground beef and stir to combine. Simmer for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano.
Add the cooked ziti pasta to the cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom. Add half of the ziti mixture, followed by half of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat with the remaining ziti mixture and meat sauce.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
