  • 4 large Eggs
  • 200 g Caster sugar
  • 200 g Self-raising flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 200 g Butter softened

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line your baking tin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
  3. Gently fold in the flour and baking powder.
  4. Fold in the softened butter until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 25 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
