- 1 whole Chicken about 4 pounds
- 2 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper freshly ground
- 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Paprika
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Using kitchen shears, remove the backbone of the chicken.
Flatten the chicken by pressing down on the breastbone.
Rub the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Place the chicken on a baking sheet, skin side up.
Roast in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
