Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Sugar for caramel
- 4 Eggs
- 1 can Sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can Evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt sugar until liquefied and golden in color. Carefully pour hot syrup into a round baking dish, turning the dish to evenly coat the bottom and sides. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs. Stir in condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla until smooth. Pour egg mixture into the baking dish.
Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan. Pour hot water into the larger pan to a depth of 1 inch.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until set. Let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
To serve, run a knife around the edges of the dish and invert onto a serving plate.
