  • 4 fillets Catfish about 6 ounces each
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. 2. In a shallow dish, combine the cornmeal, flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3. Dip each catfish fillet in buttermilk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, coating well.
  4. 4. Fry the catfish in the hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. 5. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
