  • 4 cups watermelon rinds peeled and cut into strips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon sticks broken into pieces

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add watermelon rinds, cloves, and cinnamon sticks. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate.
