- 4 cups watermelon rinds peeled and cut into strips
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon sticks broken into pieces
In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
Add watermelon rinds, cloves, and cinnamon sticks. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate.
