Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs oxtails
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine optional
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Season oxtails with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown oxtails on all sides.
  3. 3. Remove oxtails and set aside. In the same pot, add onions and garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. 4. Sprinkle flour over the onions and garlic, stir well to combine.
  5. 5. Gradually add beef broth and red wine, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  6. 6. Return oxtails to the pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 hours, or until oxtails are tender.
  7. 7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
