Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mochiko (sweet rice flour)
  • ¾ cup Water
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch (for dusting)

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix mochiko and water until smooth.
  2. 2. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. 3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir the mixture with a spatula, cover again, and microwave for another 1-2 minutes until the dough becomes slightly translucent.
  5. 5. Dust a clean surface with cornstarch and transfer the mochi dough onto it. Let it cool slightly.
  6. 6. Cut the dough into small pieces and shape as desired. Dust with more cornstarch to prevent sticking.
