Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice
  • 1 can Sardines in tomato sauce
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. 2. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  4. 4. Add the sardines with tomato sauce, breaking them into pieces with a spoon.
  5. 5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. 7. Serve the sardines over the cooked rice.
