Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole rabbit, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups red wine
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon flour

Instructions 

  1. 1. Marinate the rabbit pieces in red wine and vinegar overnight.
  2. 2. Remove rabbit from marinade and pat dry. Reserve the marinade.
  3. 3. In a large pot, brown the rabbit pieces in a bit of oil.
  4. 4. Add chopped onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until soft.
  5. 5. Pour in the reserved marinade, beef broth, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  6. 6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours or until rabbit is tender.
  7. 7. Mix flour with a bit of water to make a slurry. Stir into the stew to thicken.
  8. 8. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
