Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • for frying Oil
  • for dusting Powdered sugar

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. 2. In another bowl, beat the egg and then add milk and vanilla extract.
  3. 3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. 5. Pour the batter into a squeeze bottle or funnel, then drizzle the batter in a circular motion into the hot oil.
  6. 6. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. 7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
