Coquilles Saint Jacques Recipe
A classic French dish featuring scallops in a creamy wine sauce, topped with breadcrumbs and cheese, then baked to perfection.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Scallops
- 1 cup White Wine
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- ½ cup Grated Gruyere Cheese
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 1 unit Shallot, minced
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
- to taste Salt and Pepper
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced shallot and cook until translucent.
Add scallops and cook until slightly firm. Remove scallops and set aside.
Pour white wine into the skillet, bring to a boil, and reduce by half. Add heavy cream and lemon juice, then simmer until thickened.
Return scallops to the skillet, coating them in the sauce. Transfer everything to a baking dish.
Top with breadcrumbs and grated Gruyere cheese. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve hot and enjoy!
