Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Chopped Conch Meat fresh or frozen
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ cup Chopped Onion
- ½ cup Chopped Bell Pepper any color
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 cup Water
- 1 unit Egg beaten
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil for frying
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Add the chopped conch meat, onion, and bell pepper to the dry ingredients and mix well.
3. Stir in the water and beaten egg until the batter is well combined.
4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
6. Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
