Main Ingredients
- 1 whole Chicken about 3-4 pounds
- 2 large Carrots peeled and chopped
- 2 stalks Celery chopped
- 1 large Onion quartered
- 3 cloves Garlic crushed
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
- 2 leaves Bay leaves
- 8 cups Water
1. Place the chicken in a large pot and cover with water.
2. Add the carrots, celery, onion, garlic, salt, peppercorns, and bay leaves.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours.
4. Remove the chicken and strain the broth through a strainer.
5. Let the broth cool, then refrigerate or freeze for later use.
