Main Ingredients
- 2 cups Chickpeas (cooked or canned)
- 1 large Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 inch Ginger (minced)
- 2 cups Tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- 1 cup Water
- 1 handful Cilantro (chopped, for garnish)
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add minced garlic and ginger, cook for another minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
Add all the spices (garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, red chili powder) and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add cooked chickpeas and water. Stir well.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
