Ingredients 

Shells

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter cut into small pieces
  • 1 egg egg beaten
  • ½ cup white wine

Filling

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese drained
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add beaten egg and wine, mix until dough forms. Knead until smooth. Wrap in plastic and let rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll dough thin and cut into circles. Wrap around cannoli molds and seal edges with beaten egg.
  4. Deep fry until golden brown. Remove from oil and let cool before removing molds.
  5. For filling, mix ricotta, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Fill cooled shells with ricotta mixture. Serve immediately.
