- 4 pounds corned beef brisket
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Place the corned beef brisket in a large Dutch oven.
Add the sliced onion and minced garlic around the brisket.
Pour in the beef broth, water, and apple cider vinegar.
Stir in the brown sugar, mustard seeds, and black peppercorns.
Add the bay leaves.
Bring the mixture to a simmer on the stovetop over medium heat.
Cover the Dutch oven and transfer it to the preheated oven.
Braise for about 4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
