Ingredients

  • 4 bananas sliced lengthwise
  • ¼ cup butter unsalted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup dark rum
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions 

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar and cinnamon, stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add bananas and cook until tender, about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Remove skillet from heat and add rum. Carefully ignite the rum with a long lighter. Allow the flames to subside.
  5. Serve immediately over vanilla ice cream.
